Thinking of selling the trd aerotop.

Once my car has been treated to a complete cosmetic overhaul courtesy of the insurance company of the bint that hit me last week, i'm thinking of selling it. I've been thinking of building a stock looking 3.4 monster, and the proceeds of selling the 6 speed aero will go straight towards another supra. I know there's been a lot of 'whats it worth' threads, but i really do have no idea what my cars worth! I know 6 speed aerotop TT's are a rare beast, but a TRD 6 speed aerotop TT?? I dont think i've ever seen one to get a value from. Discuss. :D

Is it Cat D registered?

Yes. I bought it in pretty much standard form through an insurance company. Previous owner is a member here, very light front damage, just cosmetic really.

60k miles, house of kolor candy red, TRD 3000gt wide body kit, fully facelifted exterior, ts2 carbon hood, 6 speed, still on stock twins, bpu mods running just over 1.1 bar, os giken twin plate clutch, 19" alloys. £10-11k?

i'd say you'd be around the 10k mark, perhaps a bit more.

Thats just what I'd be willing to pay for such a car.

Aero TT manual is my dream Supra, but the Cat D just puts me (and probably many others) off.

Otherwise you'd be in 14/15k easy IMO.

Cat D definition "cat d means that vehicle has been declared an insurance total loss. basically meaning that the cost to repair the car exceeds usually 75 - 85 percent of the value of the car. but that is usually calculated using manufacturer's parts"

so from this i conclude that a supra that had a smack early on in its life ie when worth maybe £30K could have been repaired and one, ie like this one, sustains possibly far lighter damage but is now worth peanuts and so is written off.........which one is worth more than the other? and how would you even find out about the early accident? With this car you know about at least one of its past incidents and so you could look throughly at this area.

Nearly all of us are driving supras that would get Cat D'd if we were unlucky enough to have even a minor off........
