so here is the customer service help

ALL I ASK CAN YOU KINDLY STOP THEM TAKING MONEY OUT..MY ACCOUNT

anyway i cal the customer serive line in india of course and this is there recommendation.

1. cancel my debit card and get a new one .. yeah right and my other direct debits get screwed doh#

2. i ask to speak to uk centre manager or staff i get put on hold and i then end up to automated answer which then sends me back to india lol so i have to explain my self and details again and yep you guessed it i end up to the call centre again but with another staff and she does excatly the same thing,,,,oops am back at same place and 20 mins later no further forward:(

bloody hopeless

and my problem is not or wont be solved until the 2rd of jan

don't you have an online banking system where you can cancel it yourself?

I would write a formal letter of complaint, and also ask India for a direct phone number for the UK manager on call. Thats proper crap service, reminds me of HSBC. They will have to give you a direct number if you explain whats happened so far.

I can't believe they told you to cancel the card though, thats a joke!!!! Thats not customer service, thats making their lives easier!!! What is this world coming to?

working in the WAN networking industry I can say with confidence that I do not trust internet banking as far as I can spit. I'm sure I will get flamed for saying that but I have my reasons.

yep. Same here mate.

Bought a new broadband modem for my Apple Mac from BT.
Tried installing the software but the damn thing wouldn't load.

- Call customer serive line in india.
- Go through all my personal details including shoe size and blood type.
- Get through to some fella I can't hear due to poor line.
- Puts me on hold
- Phone line cuts off after 30 minutes
- Go through call process again only to be told I have a faulty CD that should have been recalled.

i can see that they save wages but most problems are not solved and advise is silly its like talking to automated answer phone when you get through, they have their handbook to go off,,,ye we can send you new card lol ok what about my car insurance, mortgage payments etc etc

All you need to do is order a new card, some companies don't set up direct debits as they can easily be cancelled. So the only other way to take the money out is a switch transaction on your card.

Just cancel your card and order a new one, you will still have all the same bank details so it won't cancel any direct debits you need!

Hold on, are you saying that a one off transaction can be repeated legally without your consent?

surely you are entitled to a refund as well - they cant just take your cash without your authority can they ? Particularly considering you have not signed a dd or given your consent

Im with Lloyds TSB and I hate ringing the call centre as you never speak to anyone english, you get some one in India who cant understand you and you cant understand them and by the time the call is finished you have spent about a fiver in call charges!
