Help installing a game

I installed Lego Star Wars II (don't laugh, the first one was brill!:) ) but the game knackered up when you got a little bit into the first level. I then went to reinstall it but stupidly I didn't uninstall it properly first and just deleted the game folder from the hard drive. Now when I go to install it again I get:

Error Number: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: LSW2_GameExplorerHelper

There's still an icon in add/remove programs in windows but I get the same error when trying to do that.

Any ideas how to get round this other than formatting the disk!!!

This might be bollox but if youre running XP have you tried going to last restore point?

If not a reg cleaner? like winsupreme
