Yes please! Just waiting for my upgrade to arrive then my sprog wants my phone but she's on a different network. Will mail you when I hand my phone over to her.

No. Once the IMEI has been blacklisted then it's useless. It won't latch onto to any network. There is no way you'll get a new IMEI as they're only available from the:
a) The operator
b) The vendor of the phone.
Bin it. The phone is worthless.

No. The blacklist is a central D-base - which every operator updates their AC (Authentication centre) from.
Besides, the operator (if they can be bothered) can will also be able to tell:
a) When
b) Where (The current cell you're in)
When you tried to latch a stolen phone on the network ;)

That is possible, judging by how operators run their networks in India. I assumed you meant a local or European operator.

apparently there are some ruthless traders that embark upon this but we dont entertain any notion of serial number or imei changing as it is a crimianl offence up to five years in prison so £100 or £200 or even £300 to do would not be worth the risk so we dont waste any time looking into it.
hand it into your local police station somebody on low income could have lost it and looks after the elderly like my sister that lost hers on a bus.

the hardest or most expensive are the new sony ericsson models based on db2020 protection firmware.
and most new nokia bb5 firmware like 3g 6280 models.
nearly all sagem samsung alcatel phillips toshiba sharp sony ericsson nokia siemens LG (there goes the caps lock again sorry) mitsubishi motorola sendo NEC panasonic benq etc have solutions i am a program developer and write my own software but its not worth writing software for sendo now because they went bust.
Phone SW will always have unclosed doors within it ... :innocent:

in fact there are developers that have written programs to edit the serial of the phone no one in uk writes such software it is written in poland estonia and other eastern states there are benefits to them for doing this is criminals want the software often it is protected via dongles connected to parrell port or usb it is a crime recognised in the uk and punishable by 5 years in prison so is it worth it i say no so have never developed any software to do this in the 15 years i have written gsm softeware.

What's that got to do with my post ?

in fact yes a phone blacklisted in uk for all uk networks will work abroad say movistar in spain because they havent been told to block it because they are not in uk it will work on there network.
hence ebay was used to sell 2 million pounds worth of stolen phones a quarter untill the authorities lent on them now a phone being sold as block in uk will be taken off ebay.

That is wrong. As you know - operators use a central dbase that those agreed operators update their network. The AC or HLR.
Definately European & America. As it's been proved that India operator is not part of the collective operator.

many operators dont update their systems because it stops traffic reducing revenue any uk blocked phone will work abroad providing its not a network used in uk for example if you sell a uk stolen phone to someone in australia wh uses it on australia vodaphone it wont work because vodaphone use te same database as uk in australia but other networks in australia like Telstra couldnt give a shit about blocked:search: phones in uk.
Okay ...
... you're probably right.
i would love to hand it into the police station but i dont wanna be suspected of mobile phone theft and some poor sole in a third world country is probs using it just now :)
will hand in the next one if there is one

that is right i can sit down and compile software for most phones but why bother if it generates a few quid it has to be worth the man hours and some phones now have write once only chips so you have to remove the mcu or eprom and insert a blank and all that for a phone that retails at 79 quid it aint worth it the doors can stay closed for me rsa is used by motorola and is easily by passed via earthing an ic or diod i will stick to the easy option for now.

it will work fine in india pakistan or afganistan it may end up in mr bin ladens hands who cares you found it adopted the finders keepers protocol and made a few quid no one suspects you of dishonesty and the way the police are run today you would get a on the spot fine or asbo because they are al revenue motivated police statistics are about creating crimunals and making databases todays innocent are tomorrows police state criminals.
Perhaps, accidently left ajar ... :innocent:

what you are saying is the phone will never make calls again so bin it what i was saying is that its not worthless as the imei can be changed and it will work abroad as is the oporator wont change imei my friend kestas writes software for uk companies i know who they are and they have only one reason for wanting his software and that is illegal activity i only translate for him but he has no boundarys in his country however in the uk its prison.

hi... can u unlock the nokia n70?
the n70 phone is new generation bb5 phone with write once only chip so the only way to unlock is via codes which are only available from your network provider once you finish your contract with them. they may give you for free some want 15 to 50 quid.
dam.... that's what orange said and wanted 20 quid the :@

unfortunatly most pre 2006 phone could be done free or cheap but the network providers want to make even moe to be honest a n70 sim free (available to all worldwide networks) is worth far more unlocked than say a n70 locked down to one network its 20 quid spent well.:d will fetch 60 to 90 quid more on ebay.???.

:D i think you're right :) i was thinking of unlocking it - getting a half decent cover off ebay, clearing it all down and selling it as a new phone :innocent: (as i've still got the box, charger and everything else as immaculate as can be!) either that or just give it as a gift to someone :D
can you unlock orange spv m3100?
