Got myself a spare engine to rebuild been looking at parts and doing some research on bits, im basically not going for mega power but want an engine that will take some abuse:eyebrows:

just been reading up on rods and pistons, come across these two on ebay

cant believe the price, I have done a search on the eagle rods which has come up with mixed opinions but mainly due to the studs snapping but these have been fitted with arp, to be honest you cant please every one these days.

the only thing im unsure of is the piston side of things, my dad has been rebuilding motobike engines with wiseco pistons for years and swears by them but on search theres no one using them on here:search: I cant find much on the JE pistons either

crank side of things do you just have them balenced or knife edged aswell?

uprated oil pumps but some have said stay with the oem one????

any help on the bottom end would be great also on piston and rod choice, like i said im not after big power so dont want to go over board + im not made of money :)
