Get my car back tomorrow, but...

minus an MOT. :(

It's failed on pads and front tyres plus an advisory on all discs.

I had a full set of pads in the boot which they fitted the fronts but reckon the rears are the wrong type. I'm sure they're not, so I'll be trying to fit them myself tomorrow.

It also will need to go back in a month's time when the paint has finally cured, for a flat-down, and a further couple of coats of laquer, plus 2 more coats of kandy on the rear bumper which for some reason has come out lighter than the rest of the car.

On the plus side, because of all the fannying about that's gone on, they're throwing in a free MOT on the 2nd Jan when they re-open.

So if anyone has a pair of front tyres going spare, I could do with some as I don't fancy shelling out for a new pair when my new (wider) wheels will arrive at the end of January. Or, if I could borrow a someone's front wheels on the 2nd to get through the MOT, that'd work, too.

Bill:

House of Kolour kandy, catalyst, etc = £285

Basecoat, clearcoat, dents removed, labour, etc = £2000

New front windscreen, all glass out/in, additional kandy, mot, etc = 562

Grand total: £2847

It's gonna be such a pisser having to sit & look at it over xmas and not be able to drive it, but if you all want to come to my house for a mini-meet, you're more than welcome, there's parking for anout 25 cars and I'll buy a bigger kettle and some beer!
