Hey mate, you know my feelings on the Soarer. :)

Looking good ;)

Soarers are fantastic cars,

Once yo put a decent kit on them and a leather retrim they look superb,

So much car for peanuts and pretty much Skyline performance to boot

Have been very tempted over the years with these but in standard form shockingly bland

Careful removing from the rear screen especialy in this cold weather,
You may regret removing the rear tints though especially come summer,

I had that heavy jap mesh stuff of the Supe rear window when she came over, couldn't see a damn thing out of it, but christ it got hot in the car in the summer when i removed it and my lad complained about the sun on him
it left a right mess on the screen, took nearly a litre of Celelouse thinners to clean it up afterwards.

thanks for the warning blitz.
in that case ill get auto asylum to take the tints out for me.
main reason im taking them out is because its a shoddy job, also drift cars dont have tints anyway :S
ill have to keep the air con ;)

oh and obviously wont have back seats so that wont be a problem :d

cheers aj

Wouldn't say they're a supra wannabe, i love the shape of Soarers. I look at them as completely differant cars really, and both excelent.

My mate had a V8 one :)

i was tempted with a v8 one but all my cars have been turbo i think i would be lost without one lol

2.5tt is best model, and Manual "extremely rare"

They also do a 3.0 NA as well as the V8, Both are not good at all.. 2.5tt is the best model

My mate has bought in 100's over the years, they used to command huge money and to think you can pick up pristine examples now from £2500 ... amazing

Hate to say this but i think that soarer is nicer than the supra
never really seen one before how much do they go for and whats the standard engine in them?

Damn straight. The V8 sounded really nice, but wasn't really that quick to be honest. Cant imagine it would be as easy to tune as the turbo either.

you can pick them up from 1.5k upwards theres a couple on ebay at the moment for silly money certainly not worth what there asking :s

but for a good condition manual your prob looking at about 4-5k

auto's around 2.5-4k

depends how lucky you are like with any car.

i had an auto one first with 19" alloys got it for 1.5k but needed new heater matrix and body work needed bit of tidy.

this one i got for a bargin £700 was told head gasket was gone but it isnt it was just exhaust gasket :S

mind you it does need full respray and couple bits of repair work but still a bargin once thats sorted. (bought alloys and shocks myself)

standard engine is 2.5TT 280bhp
theres a few other engines to choose from as stated by other members in previous posts.

Bud is the 4.0 a lot quicker than the N/A Supra?
i would prefer an Auto actually as i hate manuals as im a lazy fooker, but gonna see if i can swap my supra for a nice soarer.

The 4-litre V8 is 260 bhp compared with the 225 of the n/a Supra (and 3 litre Soarer).
Three models (all auto).
UZZ30 is coil springs, and pretty rare.
UZZ31 is air suspension -- the most common.
UZZ32 is active hydraulic suspension (873 manufactured).
