Alright guys,
Just wondering if anyone on here has any expirence with the nissan 300zx, im tempted to get one as a project car.
I used to have a 200sx and it was not that reliable, im concerned they may be similar.

your concerns are well-founded iirc. ;)

ditto:blink:
theyre really bad. traction on them are really shit too (well it was in the one iv been in)
Speak to mkirby, he owns one and has first hand knowledge of them.
I'd love a SWB one with the targa, been in a couple and loved them :)
I love the look of them, awesome shape. but my faith in nissan has been ruined since my crappy 200sx and i had feared it might be the same for the 300.
are skylines unreliable buggers too? making nissan sports cars a bit dodgy?
Are we talking turbo or n/a ?

Ive owned two and after owning a supra I would not look back. hard to work on, expensive, not very reliable
did you have an S13 200SX by any chance? They're terrible for reliability.
The S14 200SX is a completely different animal in terms of reliability and is a brill car...
there as reliable as any other turbo'd car, if its been looked after then you will have no problems other than age related issues.
traction wise, ive never had any problems, again similar to the supra, 280+ bhp to the rear wheels is always gonna be "interesting" in the wet but as with the supra, stick racelogic traction on it and you should never see yourself in a ditch :d
if your seriously looking at one i have a couple coming in from japan at the moment ;) a little venture i have going on.
if you need more info, let me know
Mike
yeah my s13 200sx went through 3 engines and a turbo in under a year,
and the sillls rotted out!

My biggest issue with the 300ZX is its dire interior. The cloth seats looked just like an old citroen BX diesels seat fabric I had donkeys years ago.
