lockys96
guys/girls sorry if this is a tech question what is the standard size of jdm supra stud length? i have uk brakes on the car if that makes any difference. the reason i ask this is that my temp wheels will not go on, not enough thread for the bolts to pick up. ive had a look at my studs and the dont look like they have been butchered, they look standard. but seems they only measure around 27mm in length or 24mm of thread, is this right? what do i have to do to fit the correct stud lengths and where can i get them from, thanks simon
Homer
Can't answer about the stud lenght, but are you sure you don't have spigot rings on from the previous wheels? It could be the wheels aren't going all the way on to the hub
lockys96
yes, i made sure the wheels were mounted on the rings, my bbs wheels have been on there all the time. here are pics of my hubs. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/203/hpim3872gz2.jpg http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6159/hpim4236fv8.jpg http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/6639/hpim4239vg0.jpg they dont look cut down at all, but ive searched the site and ive seen chris wilson say stud lengths are 44mm and 40mm of thread. is that is correct then seems im missing 15mm of thread, which would make a difference. is it easy to change stud lengths? where can i get them. SteveR
Right, my scenario is like this, I've taken trhe wheels off, that's it. This means I can measure the section of stud that I can see/get to, but they do seem to go further back than that - through the big metal plate thingy(s?) and as far as the actual brake disc?? Anyway, I measured about 22~23mm of thread on a get-to-able section of stud that was 25~26mm long. Hope that helps! Just nipping out but if you want to know anything else just shout, I'll be back in 15.
lockys96
thanks, that exactly the same as mine. thats how much thread sticks through the hub on mine
SteveR
Seems to be fine (well, correct) then, not sure why your wheels don't fit?
Homer
What make are the ones you're trying to fit? Some require longer studs.

Kev.O
Thing is your measuring from the end of the stud to the brake disk where as Chris probably had the disk off. They look about the same as mine.
