:) Hi guys, i've just bought a set of component Infinity speakers for the front of the sup. Could anybody tell me if theres a good guide to fitting components properly ?

I've got some speaker brackets made up already and a few days off from work, so ready for the challenge !

Cheers guys

hi mark best bet is to get 6 1/2 inch components take off the grill on the door card, screw the speakers to the door card replacing the gril with the 6 1/2 inch speaker grill u get with the componets. hope that helps!

Hi i wouldnt reccomend screwing the speakers to the door cards because of stability issues etc.
Like you say youve already got the speaker mounts, all you need to do is take the door card off, make sure you get all the screws at the bottom, theres also 3 clips on the side aswell, and 3 at the front part just past your speaker covers.

take the door card off, and its pretty simple, theres 3 screws holding your old plastic crappy speaker mount in place, undo them, and theres a little plug that goes into it, take that out.

and once thats done, just cut the plug and use the 2 wires (+ and -)

next screw your speaker into the speaker mount, and hold it against the door and the holes should match up to where you screw it in.
then before you screw it in just wire up the speakers with crossovers etc, and screw it into the door.

and there you have it :D
if you need any help drop me a pm :)

Did this myself a few weekends ago, whip the door card off, and remove all the standard rubbish, and use the template to make a new bracket for the new speakers.

Everything fits up very very nicely, as for the small high end speaker just make a hole in the door card and use the fitment pieces you should get with the speakers to attach it on the door card in the hole you've made.

Bear in mind there will now be a hole in the door card if you ever remove the speakers.

Cant seem to get my picture small enough to attach but if you want one just shout

the components are really easy to wire up. the 2 wires from the speakers (+ and -) go into the crossover where it says something along the lines of SPEAKER, the 2 (+ and -) that you chopped off into another part of your crossover under the screws, and the tweeters in the remaining slots. if you can get a pic up of the crossover i could point out which goes where :)

thanks mate, i shall get a pic up soon but i think i see what you mean. I want to fit the tweeters in the door card above the main speakers but would i have disconnet the one that are in the dash ?
I seems as though getting to those is a right bugger and not worth it.

Cheers in advance :)

well you dont have to disconnect them, although some people do and then fit the new tweeters in their place.

the new tweeters will still work as usual once they are wired into the crossover :)
