MR.B
I'm sure a car care pack from Peter Richards on here will do the job just as well for a lot less than £

Yes, I use the concours since I had my respray in summer 2004 http://home.btconnect.com/mkivsupra/Calendar06/07/07_81.JPG This thread shows a little more: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=65794&highlight=photo I have not used even a 1/4 of the pot yet! DaveK
It's popular with the Porsche guys. I bought some years ago and was totally uninmpressed. However - you can get a bottle of zymol (a green / blue kind of colour) which I think is called cleaner wax from Halfords for less than £20 - and that's pretty much the best stuff I've used! colsoop
Putting an expensive wax like that on your car without the proper paintwork preparation is pointless in my opinion. I am in no way an expert but this is what i do when i do a proper valet: Assuming the car is washed and dried properly. Stage 1 Clay bar and spray lube, to remove the particles and contaminants that attach to the paint. This stage allows you to examine the paint and determine whether any swirl marks or scratches are present. stage 2 on to the polishing machine, if swirl marks are present i will use my porter cable polisher with a swrilbuster pad and polish. Stage 2a if scratches are present and are only in the clearcoat i will use a cutting pad with a cutting polish (the leat abrasive to remove most of the scratch) stage 3 klasse all in one - this is a paintwork cleanser and gloss enhancer and is applied again by machine with a soft mop. stage 4 klasse sealant glaze (3 coats) this seals the gloss and adds depth and to the finish. I buff this off with the machine. Stage 5 Now is time for the wax. I use p21 s and apply it by hand as i hardly need to use any and the heat from my hands allows it to flow easier on to the panels. This is what leaves the final paint protection and wet look. As i said im not an expert but do enjoy valeting mine and others cars. I did my fathers astra recently and that took 7 hours ! sad i know
peter richards
sounds a good technique to me
Gamer
I do all the above except I skip straight to step 3 as my paintwork is brand new. Instead of Klasse, I use the P21 cleanser and then follow with a sealant and then I start to apply the P21s, I usually apply at least two layers, sometimes more if preparing for a show. Comes up beautiful and has a real deep shine that pops.

Mike M
I've only used Zymol car shampoo. Smells of coconuts. Doesn't leave streaks either. My mate spent a couple of hundred quid on a zymol pack for his 944 with the carnuba wax, it looks very good but a hell of a price for the stuff.
