myself would only go for GTX Magnetec.

and not any cheap stuff not to slag anything else of each to there own and all!!!!!!!!:innocent:

Its seems everybody had different views on which oil,I have read that many say GTX is pants, like you say each to his own.

I know of a local Jap performance specialist who uses 10/40 GM semi synthetic on all cars he service, thats the stuff from a vauxhall garage the same as I put in my Vectra, is that good enough ????

on the engine it states 10/30 , is there much difference between 10/30 and 10/40

If you do a search for posts by Oilman you will find all the information you need and much more to convince you that oils like semi's, have no place in a highly tuned carp

i'm a lil cynical taking advice about oil from someone that sells it :) i would rather have an opinion from someone like CW, who no doubt strips engines and see's what is what first hand :)

Mate id reccomend you go for Silkolene Pro-S 10w40, its slightly more expensive but it makes a very big difference and is way better than other stuff ive tried.

Didn't think they did a 10w40 in the Pro-S think it's 10w50 mate :)

he is ready whenever we are now. he takes some really really good photos and hopefully when we arrange something, he wont lock himself out!

he also has lots of printers and can do large poster style prints so it would be something good to arrange after xmas some time :D

This made me laugh. Again. :D

If you lose 160bhp between the flywheel and the hubs I think you should speak to Oilman about gearbox and diff fluids - that sand you've got in there ain't working :nyah:

In my opinion-

I've always used 10/40 semi almost for 40K miles now. Usually hard driving on a BPU TT. Car now has about 120K on the clock. Car drives perfect and no smoke at all.

The Fully synthetic premium stuff is better but all I'm saying is 10/40 semi such as Shell Helix and Halfords brand is fine for a TT in my opinion.

If you can afford it go for the premium stuff. It's a shame you have to throw it away after a few thousand miles on your next oil change.

I've always stuck to Toyota or TRD filter - Although the TRD is apparantly same as the Toyota!

Edit: I believe my car is still on stock turbos
