Hi guys, I need a little help in wiring up my EMU to the 2JZGE engine loom. Before I hack up my fields harness I d like to know which connectors I have to connect for the MAP sensor and the distributor (for ignition timing control). Firstly, is the pinout number 62 on the E9 harness the MAP sensor??? I am not sure as it is labelled as 'vacuum sensor'

Secondly, I m not sure which line I intercept for the wiring for ignition timing control as it says on the emanage that there is only a 'CH1 in' and 'CH1 out' that you connect to the emanage for a distributor based system. However, on the ECU pinouts there are 4 pins that are labelled as 'Distributor' and each have different symbols: G, G1, G2, NE. Additionally. there are also two pinouts labelled 'Ignitor'; one of the pins has a symbol IGT and the other IGF. Would be great if someone could clarify these for me.

Thanks

I think IGT is the line you want for ignition timing, I know it's not IGF as that's the "successful spark event" feedback line. Christ knows about the dizzy, that's probably just a positional sensor, the terminology is the same as crank and cam position sensors.

Vacuum sensor is probably the one you want to tap into, unless you have a mass aiflow sensor, in which case it'd be that for airflow adjustment purposes. Pin 62 sounds about right :search:

Just actually looked at the tables you attached - there appears to be no crank or cam position sensors so I'm standing by my educated guess that the Dizzy signals are used for engine position reference.

Christ that's an unpopulated set of pins ;)

So Ian you still standing by the IGT pin? I think i ll give it a shot and intercept that line.

I ve spliced into the IGF line for RPM reference for the EMU.

Ya the list is quite unpopulated, especially compared to the TT. But to my surprise, the few pins that the NA ecu has, it seems to be in the same location as the TT. For ex. the water temp, air temp, throttle position, MAP, injectors, are all the same pin #s as the TT ECU.
