delimeter

Can i fit another delimeter to my car even though i think its got one already ?

having troubles with this error code 42 having idle problems , auto box problems .

wanting to fit a thor delimeter as they seem to be the recomended ones .

Also can you fit these yourself ?

Anyone ?

I belive you can fit it yourself, as those comes with instruction how to do it. Also there is some info here on forum how to put Thor delimiter.

But can i have more than one on ? or will i need to source the other one thats on the car and rip it out ?

you need to take the older one out, get a THOR one and you can fit it in 15 mins as they come with a very clear user instraction

Does your car speedo read in MPH? Does the odo count up in miles?

the old one will most probably be wired in either behind the odometer or behind the speedo clocks.

Probably just a little black box with 4 or so wires coming out of it.

Yes it reads in miles and yes it reads in mph

Then as Jim says, it will be wired in to the back of the speedo and odo units and should be pretty obvious. If it's a full delimiter as well (rather than a delimiter that just moves the limit to 180mph) then there'll be a wire running to the ECU in the footwell too.

Passenger side. Lift the carpet and it's under a plastic cover.

Yeah. You can see which wire it will be spliced into here

Not all delimiters have a wire going to ECU, the 2 I've seen (not Thor ones) were wired into the loom behind the dials.

It is on the thor one. The diagram shows the outputs from the ECU though so whatever colour the wire from the delimiter is, it would have to be spliced into the wire leaving the ECU from pin 2.

Pin 2 on the ECU? It looks like this matey.

Puill back the passenger carpet from the front of the car towards the seat, take the 2 nuts off that hold the big black plastic ECU cover in place (at the bottom of the cover), and you'll see something like this...
