Max Depth for Front Speakers

I've made the front MDF brackets (cheers Rob) and I was wondering how deep can the speakers go, I would measure it myself but my car is not local to me at the moment.

I've had to mount the crossover to the back of the bracket does anyone know if this is going to work? and do I have enough space? if not I'm at a loss as I've never worked with X-overs this big :(

With the flat side of the bracket fitting flush against the door and the 18mm ring hard up against the card isn't that crossover on the wrong side? Is the crossover thicker than 18mm, if so I don't think it will fit. I have just completed this bracket install with deep components.:)

The crossover is on the inside not the the outside here's a better pic with the speaker mounted. By the look of the doors I've seen there appears to be a space in front of the speaker.
The crossover is 40mm high. I really want the crossovers mounted in the doors so I only need one cable into the main body.
