bolarbag
Hi All, Any ideas on what aftermarket fans are available for the Supra? I want rid of the Viscous Fan to reduce rotating mass, I know the difference will be minimal but it all adds up... What manufacturers do the fans, and reliably? cost aint an issue within reason what about Flexalite?I've heard they do twins
TLicense
The general consensus is that it's really not worth it as the viscous fan is actually pretty bloody good at cooling the car. The electric ones aren't so good.... If you're still convinced check out the traders section....
SimonB
You can't get something for nothing, if you use an electric fan all that will happen is that the alternator will cause more load on the engine, and probably more than you gain by not having the viscous fan. Sheefa
Yep, as above mate. Spal fans are meant to be OK - I looked into one but again was advised that the Viscous one really is top trumps for cooling so don't bother pal! Greg

Greg Spal fans are great but not as a replacement for the viscous unit Ive got a 13" push type one that replaced my electric fan when I fitted my FMIC...works great and keeps air moving through the rad when the air con kicks in tight squeeze but worth it
