i look forward to seeing what mpg gains i get from this.

i soaked the nuts in some wd40 before i had a go at them, dont want to start shearing stuff off.

it came out rather easy apart from the tight space you have to move in there.

you need a long 12mm socket and racket, i took the plastic filter pipe off to gain better access.

now the old one looked very tired and black.

will post results when i go through another £30 of fuel

i have been getting 140miles on £30 before, will see how it goes:)

How long did it take to change your sensor and how would you rate it in difficulty ie. 1 spanner easy and 5 spanners hard.:)
It's a five minute job. 2 nuts and one electrical connector to undo. Only thing is the engine needs to be stone cold else you will burn yourself.

rating is a 2spanner job.

as its hard to get the spanner in there.plus you should remove the filter pipe

and one of the clips was a pain to get out on the 02 sensor loom.

so i cut it with some snips, as its all replaced by the new loom.

will post results soon

dont know yet.

and perhaps i should reset the ecu, but id have thought with the new sensor in place it would work straight away.

someone tell me otherwise:d

I remember reading that the ECU goes into (rich) default mode when it doesn't receive a good signal from the O2 sensor, which is the cause of the poor fuel economy. It can't do any harm resetting it.

Well just to add, i reset my ecu yesterday.

the car feels amazingly smooth now, cant believe it.

plus i doubt ill be saving too much cash, as the car seems boosty and on song.

id recomend changing it to anyone

I'm pleased to hear it's made a noticeable difference Si

i remember when i had my old dyno and it showed my car was throwing fuel in as the second tubbie was coming on. a bit too much.

feels like a big fat luxury car, with boost
