quick boost gauge question??

Surely you can use the wiring from the clock loom (if putting a 52mm gauge in) ? Because there will be a live, earth and illumination wire, right??

If so, anyone know what's what there? Could easily take it from the stereo feed etc... but just thought might as well take it from the clock.

not sure what gauges your using mine was a greddy one, not sure what you mean by illumination wire mine only used 2, spliced into the ash tray light if I remember correctly

I just fitted my AEM Truboost in the clock fitting. Its got all the connections you'll need. Wiring diagram attached

I ran mine through the drivers side wing into the drivers footwell near the fusebox....saves drilling holes into the firewall or butchering existing ones.

You can use the grommet where the clutch cable would normally pass through the firewall - its just to the back of the turbo's - poke the pike through there from the engine side and you can then reach under the dash and feed it up to the clock. I used a rubber hose, which wasnt as 'floppy' as a silicone one.

In my case it wasnt, since my boost gauge is located on my A-Pillar.

If your mounting yours in place of the clock, I wouldnt imagine it being a problem as long as you have enough length.

You dont need to remove the clocks etc. Just remove the dash trim around the auto lever, the small bit of trim with the hazards on and the heater trim. You can then feed up the pipework from under the dash by the steering wheel.

To get good solder connections though, your best pulling the connectors and removing the trim out of the way.

well I plumbed it in and it works fine. Just need to wire it up then that's it.

Had to stop for the day though as it got a bit dark! I like the feel of satisfaction when you do something yourself.

Quite an easy job tbh.
