Right guys, as I explained before my MOTs up mid next month, however I need to replace my rear suspension. Im told its gonna take 4 odd weeks to get this IDEAL suspension in.

My question: Am I fine not having an MOT if I dont drive the car, but it stays on the road outside my house? Not too clued up about it lol.

I know for not having TAX you need to SORN.

if it's not on the road being driven then you're fine afaik.

as you say it's only for tax that you need to declare it SORN.

well if someone else hit it while its parked and you dont have an mot, and therefore not insurance, i'm not sure what would happen. If it got broken into or nicked and you didnt have an MOT, i wouldnt think u would be able to claim either as insurance would be void. Might be a different story if the car could be taken off road and onto a driveway or private property.

I might be talking crap mate, but just some thoughts to get you thinking about :)
