Please tell me you didn't bid on it!?

Think it was Redline magazine that did a rolling road test on one of the more expensive 'branded' electric superchargers out there on a 1.8 or 2.0 engine.

As predicted by nearly everyone, when it was off it caused even more restriction in the airflow and lost power, but not as much as when it was switched on!

Load of shite, almost as bad as the butchered tin cans that create 'vortex effects'!

There is an echarger that Renault were testing. I was hoping to het my hands on a pair, but I left that business.

There's one available in the states that is a proper electric charger. Its got the power of at least a 3kw starter motor and isn't one of these boat hull ventilation fans that are on ebay.

Edit: Here it is http://www.boosthead.com/product.php?id=18

Looks like its been through a proper testing and development process. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0406tur_knight_turbo_electric_supercharger/
