phone Blocked

Just wondering if your mobile phone is blocked by the network provider so you cant make any calls etc. can you get this fixed.

Found a phone in the local park and tried handing it to the PO PO (police) but got was told to collect it after a couple of weeks had passed as nobody claimed it. now its totally blocked so any way of getting round this

You can get it unlocked which will unlock it to other networks but i think it will still be blocked on that network.

Agreed!! They block the sim and the phone but unlocking (approx £10) makes it useable on the other networks.

Depends on the phone I think some of the newer Nokia's use BB5 technology which are pretty much unlockable, other than by the network etc.
