Lebsteif
There are two types of mirrors, Heated and folding mirrors. The mechanism is inside the mirrors.
lockys96
ok. means they wont work then. no probs. just got them incase some carbon gt mirrors are too small
dangerous brain
The plug won't fit either the folding type is a 6 pin one if I remember and the heated one just 3 or 4 pin anyways a smaller one. The folding gubbins is indeed inside the mirror.
lockys96
are you sure the 3-4pin plug wont fit still into the 6pin. but not just fold in?

SteveR
Yeah but does SteveR know that? I ask as a while ago I remember a fairly long term member asking how to switch the heating fan off Hmmm I'll give it a go to check... Can you see the heater elements (if it's got them!)? I assumed all J-specs were either folding or of the 'do nothing' type.
dangerous brain
You can see the wire if you prise the glass off You may find the glass has been replaced with cheaper non-heated ones.

If they are heated, will they get warm enough to the touch to notice? If not, how the flip can I find out if they're heated or not?!? lol It's parked in the garage so they have never fogged up...
