i thought the 888's were semi-slicks? (i.e. not a good idea in the snow / ice / wet)

these are lovely, and they weigh hardly anything at all, probably worth a few wheel HP in less rotating mass!

888 are more like a cut slick than a normal road tyre, they are soft compound which some people prefer in the wet but most people use T1R in winter to be honest, I think this is just down to the massive amount of grip the 888 offer in the dry compared with normal grip in the wet
