View Full Version : Any one with a 1.5 firmware PSP fancy doing me a favour?

I want to 'upgrade' to the 2.71 SE-b firmware, but first I need to get to 1.5.

I currently have 2.01, so I need to go up to 2.5, before going back to 1.5, then to the SE edition.

I need the 1.5 files though, could someone follow the instructions in the link and post me the files?

2.71 SE-b gives me the best of both worlds.. Latest FW and to be able to play ISO's..

hello mate,

You'll get yourself all confused looking at that ;-)

What you want to do is this:

Step 1: First go here http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/47 and upgrade your unit to 2.71

Step 2: Then - once upgraded run this program http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755 and that will downgrade you to a 1.5.

Step 3: Once that is done - all you just need to install devhook 0.44 or a launcher of your preference and you can then run iso's and umd's on newer firmware.

easy peasy ;) takes about 5 mins to do the entire lot.

sorry - just read your thread again - and see that you actually want to run the 2.71 firmware ;-)

Well it doesn't matter too much anyway - as you can still downgrade to a 1.5

Downgrader to 1.5 successfully, thanks for the links.
Just cannot get the 2.71SE-b FW to load.

Still trying though.

Retried and it's chugging at the mo.
Now all I need is some ISO's (or CSO's) and a bigger memery card.

Just to let you know that I've got the ISO/CSO's working direct from the memory card.
With this firmware version, no need for devhook or any other loader, they just show up in the games menu.

So far I've got the following:-

Burnout - Legends.
Killzone.
Carol Vorderman's Suduko.. (Don't ask).

Also have Medal of Honour, but not on the Memory card at the moment.

A good time to be starting nights.. :) Don't normally say that..
