My housemate has a VX220 Turbo, it's in for a factory recall on the brake system at the moment :rlol:

It's already lunched it's own engine due to a misaligned pulley that shreds the accessory belt which then tangles up the exposed cam belt. Also it had to have a deprimed tappet fixed which made it sound like a diesel on startup.

There are comedy panel gaps, you can fit two fingers in a hole between the upper and lower dash. The tweeters are held in by a sticky pad. The brake fluid reservoir is held on by a tie tag.

The engine sounds rubbish, nasty raspy 4-pot induction noise. Although the tappet issue was sorted it still sounds a bit dieselly at idle. The power is OK, if you weren't used to anything other than Vectras etc it'd probably feel fast. The handling is, of course, excellent. It goes round corners on rails.

I find it almost impossible to fit into, it's not for tall people. The stereo is shit, the heater is nonexistent, the roof is a pain in the ass to fit/remove and it leaks.

As a weekend toy it's great, as a daily driver it'll be hell.
