Col, is this the immobiliser fob that plugs into the dash socket??? Or the remote central locking fob??

I think it is the remote fob that she uses to lock the car. That also acts as an ignition starter when you turn on the ignition - if that makes sense.

Is it a system where the car will start without needing the fob as long as it's started with 20-30 seconds?

Mine has that Martin. Normally you can open the doors using the keyfob blipper thing & start the engine. If you take more than 30 seconds to start it re-immobilises & the lozenge thingy needs to be stuck into the dash bit.

I'm on form with technical descriptions tonight!! :D

Yeah, you turn the ignition on, press the button, a couple of lights come on and then you turn the key the last little bit.

It doesn't work if the car is in gear though, I think!

i think your alarm has just pantsed up.

mine did it.

i locked it and came back and could not open with the clifford key fob.

you can overide the car if you know what your 4 digit code is. you should have a code on the back of the key fob, and should have some buttons where you can enter the code in.

i had to have mine reset
