CJ
Lara has just rang me to say that she is sat in her car and the key fob button to allow her to start the car is not working. I suspect it is a duff battery. Can she override it? It is a Clifford alarm if that makes any difference.
Kopite
New battery in the fob might be needed but maybe ring Matt Harwood mate for any other tricks
Pete
If she's lucky a battery will be ok. Shouldn't need to resync with the alarm. Only way to override is if she has the pin number to type into the doobry.

Kranz
Col, is this the immobiliser fob that plugs into the dash socket??? Or the remote central locking fob??
CJ
Col, is this the immobiliser fob that plugs into the dash socket??? Or the remote central locking fob?? I think it is the remote fob that she uses to lock the car. That also acts as an ignition starter when you turn on the ignition - if that makes sense. I was a bit worried there thinking you overcame the Clifford alarm by jump starting the car!
Oly
take the small battery out and turn it round - if its on its way out this usually works
CJ
Apparently, she has got a new battery but it still doesn't seem to be working. I have asked one of the Yorkshire lads if they can help her out.

CJ
She has the white 6speed, am I right? Yes, that is she - but maybe not for long as she has decided that it may have to go.
RedM
Is it a system where the car will start without needing the fob as long as it's started with 20-30 seconds?
Kranz
Is it a system where the car will start without needing the fob as long as it's started with 20-30 seconds? Mine has that Martin. Normally you can open the doors using the keyfob blipper thing & start the engine. If you take more than 30 seconds to start it re-immobilises & the lozenge thingy needs to be stuck into the dash bit. I'm on form with technical descriptions tonight!! CJ
Is it a system where the car will start without needing the fob as long as it's started with 20-30 seconds? No, I think it needs the fob to allow the car to start after the ignition is switched on.

Yeah, you turn the ignition on, press the button, a couple of lights come on and then you turn the key the last little bit. It doesn't work if the car is in gear though, I think! lockys96
i think your alarm has just pantsed up. mine did it. i locked it and came back and could not open with the clifford key fob. you can overide the car if you know what your 4 digit code is. you should have a code on the back of the key fob, and should have some buttons where you can enter the code in. i had to have mine reset
