Does anyone happen to know: is there a standard size for gauge sensors? If for example, I wanted to buy an HKS oil cooler type R (relocates the filter and provides taps for oil temp and pressure), will these be suitably sized for the DEFI sensors I also want?

I found the following spec on a website:

Sensor size
- Attachment : M10xP1.0
- Adopter Thermo : M12xP1.25, PT1/8

It means nothing to me, but....

Also, should I expect to have to use a different spec of oil filter?

Unfortunately there isn't a standard thread for sensors. Some use BSP, some NPT. Some of the Jap ones use another different taper thread. My pressure gauge is 1/8BSP and the temp is 1/8NPT. You can screw a 1/8NPT into a 1/8BSP hole, but not the other way round. It's a bit of a nightmare. Those are metric thread sizes you've posted there, which is a bit odd.

You won't need a different filter.

Why did I just KNOW you were going to say something like that?!?!
