The lack of airbags would count against it (some Volvo's have nine airbags) as would it's lack of crumple zones.

 

Total guesses but I'd assume this would be the out-come:

 

Front impact test @ 40mph = 3

Side impact @ 30mph = 3

Pedestrian Impact test = 0

Pole Test @ 18mph = 1

It's got a few good ones alright. With the high sills and stiff shell, I guess it would fare better than current hot-hatches in real-life conditions.

 

Remember that the NCAP is still skewed to allow for the low sills of most cars. Reality on side impact collisions is much harsher - the supra wins there big time.
