hp006
Having just looked on the internet the best thing i find for getting data out of OBD1 is here http://www.aldlcable.com/ But not sure if it works on the supra!!
hp006
Just found this This cable will work with any OBD-1 system, but requires you to plug the bare wire from the ALDL cable into the correct female pin location on the cars OBD-I connector. The female pin location can vary with the style of connector and year of car Note this cable may damage your PC and/or Vehicles !!!!!!!! We are not responsible for any damage to you and/or your vehicles !!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like the ALDL cable will work but have to check the connectors!!! JustGav
This is a lot of agro for not a lot of results, I spent ages trying to work out a way of doing it, and eventually came to the conclusion it would be easier to put a freqcounter on the RPM and speed sensor wire and calibrate it under software. You can't really get much out of the ECU without using sensors, there is a method to get info out of it, but it is somewhat tricky, if you do a search there was a thread talking about pulling the info.
