csa
Yeeees, I decided to ditch the GT42 car I found some weeks ago, thanks to all the knowledge presented in here. Now I've found another subject. This time it's a red euro spec : http://www.blocket.se/vi/9863216.htm?ca=23_11_s With the following specs: Engine rebuild with new block and top BL T67 single kit 1000cc boostlogic fuel kit RPS Stage 3 clutch Greddy 3 row FMIC Full HKS exhaust AEM Wideband Uego air/fuel meter´ 3xGreddy meters Piggyback MAP ECU from Powerhouse Runs 1.2-1.3 bar Does anyone know the ecu? (second from the bottom here: http://www.powerhouseracing.com/files/catalog.php?make=Toyota&model=Supra%20TT&catagory=Electronics) And generally, what say you? The price is approx 22K £ but it’s a eurospec, manual LHD and they are generally 10K more than RHD’s
Ian C
That looks much nicer From the engine bay shot I'd say it would need: Turbo blanket + downpipe lagging if it's not there already and Close the breather system (join the exhaust cam cover breather to the intake before the turbo) The fuel system is nice and big, if the car drives OK on those big injectors then that's cool. The MAP ECU is OK in my opinion. Terry S has had good results from it but it's rather limited in functions. No ignition timing for a start, which is a shame as you can put more timing on low down with a T67. Fortunately you don't have to pull any timing if it's intercooled well. -Ian
RobSheffield
Sounds a lovely spec
csa
That looks much nicer Close the breather system (join the exhaust cam cover breather to the intake before the turbo) this need's a little more explanation...maybe a tech article? what does this mod actually do? Alex
It's not so much a mod as putting a stock feature back in. The cam breathers are the two pipes (one on each side of the block). They should be connected via pipework into the intake pipe PRE turbo. This closes the breather system and allows it to work properly and could save you from a blown oil seal. Ian C
this need's a little more explanation...maybe a tech article? what does this mod actually do? It's a minor matter of about 30cm of hose and a barb welding to your intake pipe between the air filter and the turbo. If you buy the shiny red beast, we can discuss it further -Ian
csa
ahh! getting the hang of this now. Is there any other possibilities then connecting to the preturbo? it looks much "cleaner" without the "gardenhosing" regards from the supra-wan learner! csa
what would be the expected output of the car? ..500 ish?
csa
update: Will be picking up this car on Wednesday. WEEE! By the way, the entire engine block, internals and top is brand new (6000 miles) The guy who build it says it delivers approx 500-550 hp with the current setup (1.3 bar) I simply CAN'T wait! Alex
It has to be pre turbo. The T67 can produce about 580 at the wheels at 1.4bar with good fueling. So I'd say 500 is definately possible!
Ian C
That all sounds very reasonable - nothing overinfalted to try and impress You should be excited -Ian
