JamieP
Anyone use one?. http://www.kenlowe.com/pre-heaters/cars/whatwill.html
merckx
I used to have one on my van, 2.8 litre diesel. The diesel engine would take quite a while to warm up when it was really cold outside. So I fitted a Kenlowe heater, I used to leave it switched on for about 40 minutes before I went out. It definately made a difference but it wouldn't get near normal operating temps but all engines are different in that respect. Plugging it in at night and using a timer to switch it on would be a good idea. Still better having one than not!
Kranz
Used similar in Finland & Sweden. At -40 they actually have to plug them in at the side of the street or there's no chance of the older cars starting. Its always a good idea to pre-heat the engine before starting, helps with reducing wear & also makes the heater work really well WOW This is my 1000th post :ecstatic:
Chris Wilson
I use them on my race car, a bit OTT for a road car in the UK, surely?
