Jim_1979
Since I've had the Supra I've noticed that when doing slow manouvers (sp) like parking etc I sometimes get a clunking sound from the brakes. Anyone got any idea as to why or what it is? I asked my garage and the owner said his Supra used to do the same. Both are Auto TT Jspec. Anyone?? ivan
Pads moving slightly in the calipers. Mine does the same. It's most noticeable when braking as I reverse into my driveway.
Jim_1979
I take it it's normal then? Anyway to stop it? It doesn't bother me that much tbh.
TrickTT
The brake discs are only secured to the hubs by the wheel nuts and (usually) rust. If you've got newish rotors they can move back and forward slightly against the wheel studs as you go back and forwards causing a clonking noise. Nothing to worry about. supRo
I used to have this problem when I didn't have any rear brake pad shims - Once I put on the inner and outer Anti squeel/rattle shims - all cured
