steb9780
Can someone tell me if the passenger door locks/unlocks the drivers door. It's for when I get the car alarmed. Just wondering if I'll need a motor.
JustGav
The central locking unit is just underneath the airvent on the passenger side, the relay box controls both the drivers and passenger doors, if that is what you mean.
steb9780
Yeah I think it's for the drivers door. Some cars don't have a motor there or something. You flick the lock up with the key, then a sensor makes the motor on the passenger side unlock it. I THINK! So I think if you went to unlock the car from the passenger side, there's no motor to unlock the drivers side. If that seems to make sense. They want £50 for a motor if it needs one, and I have other things for the car I'd rather spend the money on, if possible.
steb9780
Sorry forgot to add how that ties into the alarm. Basically when you hit the fob to unlock the car. The drivers door wouldn't open as there'd be no motor there.
JustGav
Ah in that case... Yes both doors do unlock electronically, whether there is a sensing unit on the passenger I can't recall, but the alarm should link in at the relay box anyway and pop both doors that way. steb9780
Cheers. That will free up the money for my first mod. Veilside gearknob or something. Cheers people for the help!
