RedM
I was thinking of chrome cleaner but it's not a shiny effect. Anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and is there anything I can put on it to keep it looking cleaner for longer?
SupraStar 3000
Last weekend I used T-cut to remove some over spray and tar from my Nur-spec and finished it with some Brilliant polish bought from ENVY Looks brand new
tDR
AutoSol - best stuff for shining up metal by a country mile
RedM
Yeah, but what effect will it have on the finish of the Greddy?
Homer
Yeah, but what effect will it have on the finish of the Greddy? Autosol works fine on titanium too. Its superb stuff, especially for renewing the shine on polished pipe work
RedM
Is there a particular Autosol product to go for?
DannyW
Autoglym Metal polish works better and is easier to use than the autosol in my experience.
Guest mk47
i once cleaned my s/s one with brake and clutch cleaner came up shiny like new!
JustGav
The autoglym stuff is very similar to the meguairs NXT stuff, it is a wax.... and as such gives it good protection. Autosol is a polish and as such is a little more abrasive and is good for getting the marks off in the beginning. I would use both personally... autosol to get the real heavy marks off and then treat it to NXT metal polish to protect it...

The autglym stuff ive got is definately a metal polish, not wax. It is more abrasive than autosol, i used it to get the laquer and corrosion off the outer rims of my old alloys. Oooh, I stand correct, I may have to try some of the stuff then, the autoglym rep I spoke to said that autosol was more abrasvie... oh boy yet another product to add to my detailing collection then. I do know some people use VERY VERY fine steelwool, can't say I've ever had the bollocks to try it on my Greddy TI tho.
fat_controller
peek metal polish is the daddy
Homer
peek metal polish is the daddy Got to disagree mate, that stuff is useless for removing grime or cutting back polished surfaces. Its just a polish for already good/perfect finsh but will do little for tarnished ones. I suffered using Peek for years until Peter Sharp recommended autosol
