View Full Version : Gap below Front Number plate
Hi,
Is there supposed to be anything below the front number plate in that gap like a grill or somthing?
My TT has a gap and you can see the radiator and pipe clearly.
Nope it's supposed to be open, but i know exactly where you're coming from. Looks a lot better with some mesh in there .... IMO.
Just remembered the facelift 'bar' that goes across that gap is available to retro-fit to earlier cars.

Na it looks nice, !:)
I've fitted black mesh in mine, as i do not want a large stone hitting my A/C rad!! Al.
Thanks guys. The guy at the dealership said it was designed to let in max air but I never knew what to believe..
The newer Honda S2000's have a black plastic mesh, Id love some of that for the Supra.. anyone know where you could get some done.. chickenwire can look a bit crap if it aint done right imho.

Is that a new store, lol
Great idea, is it easy to fit securely? It will look better than how it looks at the mo.

Usman, yes it's quite easy to fit and i didn't have to remove the front bumber.Mesh can be cut with a good pair of scissors to size, then i 'tacted' it in place using little blobs of JB weld adhesive, which i then coloured black when dry.
Originally i tried a few different adhesives, which broke at high speeds:innocent: Al.
Nice one. I will have to have a go.

Like branners says , if you want the silver go to B&Q but make sure you get the alluminium mesh (£15)

Cheers for the pic al, it looks quite nice. :)
Right then, stainless woven comes in a variety of sheet sizes.
40" x 12" - 44" x 7" - 55" x 8"
Would I get away with one sheet to do all three 'holes' with the above sizes cause it ain't cheap.
Anyone who has meshed the front know what amount they used?
Paul
PS, above sizes range from about £60 to £75
