Hi all Kam here, really nice forum to have a gander on so i thought id join up, and also im going to see a supra tomorrow!!
wanted to ask qhat i need to keep an eye out on it, im going to see a 96 N N/a import Auto, its just a cruiser with some looks which il be happy with, also how much will i be roughly looking at for a new pair of front discs? Iv checked on fensport and they are £152 for standard toyota items, i assume these are normal to fit?
many thanks! look forward to some replies!:D
Hi Kam. The NA is built on the same virtually indestructable base thet the turbo is built on, so there should be no problems with the engine.
Most problems result from accident damage and bent bodywork giving a bad ride.
thanks mate, how much you think il be spending on a pair of discs?
how about these http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=86356 welcome by the way:D
LOL i was looking at that! hi mate, is there any particular model i would need to go for? or do they alll sort of fit each other?
i think the discs are the same, if you give chris wilson a ring(the guy selling them) he will put you on the right track
cheers guys, wish me luck :D
oh and just out of interest how much would a remap cost? is it needed?

You can't remap the stock ECU.
Welcome. :D
Make sure the instrument panels light up when you turn the ignition on some people will disconnect the warning lights to hide problems
HI Kam welcome to the club. I picked up my very first Supra [NA] on thursday so Im sure you won't be disappointed. Where abouts in Berkshire are you, theres quite a few of us round that area. :D

Welcome not very sure possible member :)
You're in the right area, there are a hell of a lot of Supra owners in the Thames valley.
By far the best advice I can offer is to have someone experienced from the club go along with you to your viewings. They will know what to look out for and should be able to spot a problem a mile off. I work in Slough once a week so feel free to PM if you want a 2nd opinion on a car.
still looking for gz aerotop or uk tt anybody got any search tips wifes gonna spend my money if i dont find one soon tabs

They are out there but sometimes command a premium. Do you have a budget in mind?
8k plus for right car
In all probablility, you are going to struggle to get a "nice" UK car for 8k and will more than likely have to put another 2k on that. A GZ aerotop will also cost you a bit more than 8k but you may be lucky enough to pick up a high mileage example for that.
I am currently talking to a seller about a nice Silver GZ aerotop with lowish miles and some nice mods but that is going to be selling for closer to 9k.
sooner pay more for lower mileage got your phone numbers will give you a bell tomorrow

where abouts did you look? I looked at one in Slough [well windsor] which looked damn good in the pictures, but close up was a disaster [the paint work was anyway] - was it bronze by any chance?
:D
