escort cosworth vs n/a TOP SPEED.

Both cars are std then it will be very close tbh! It is mainly down to the aerodynamic shape of the supe that benefits it at higher speeds where as the cossie was a bit of a brick! Once you go to stage 1 with the escort (330bhp on greens) then they will kill you as they can then do circa 160+.

Sure the Escort Cosworth is actually a Sierra Cosworth chassis it only looks a bit like an Escort but has little resemblance to the car it is meant to be based on. Not sure if there is difference in top speed between the big and small turbo models.

The rear wing makes tons of drag though and really slows the car a lot. Watched two identical cossies with and without wing set off side by side and the difference was huge.

They do weigh so little but on the plus side, it'll probably get to about 120 and break down so beating the AA truck should be easy.
