View Full Version : Boost controller strange readings ?

My Apexi boost controller seems to be giving off strange readings.... When i accelerate to what i see as 1.3 bar on the analogue gauge, it only reads a maximum as 0.67 on the digital boost controller, I've tried putting the boost up and down on the controller but it doesn't change the readings although i do get an increase in boost.

would this be due to a bad earth or something ? Or is my boost controller faulty ? I'm only guessing that my analouge gauge is reading correctly at the moment !

Thanks..

Craig.

Could I suggest that your connection to the boost line (wherever you have put your 't' junction) may be leaking?

Just a thought - probably a crap one - but a thought none-the-less!

The analougue one works fine, but the digital one doesn't.... But i don't know how the digital one gets its information ?

The digital boost controller gets its boost pressure reading from the same place as the analogue boost gauge.

If it's not too fiddly, could you swap round the pipes? You'd be able to see if the analogue gauge starts reading low instead.

Ah yeah, what you've got there is an FBB'd Boost Controller...

Very technical term before you ask...
