View Full Version : 2Fast 2Furious 21st June 2003
Seems the release date for this film is 20-JUN-03
Last year we all piled in to Bluewater to see it, anybody fancy doing the same this year. Yes, I know its a pointless pile of drivel with neither enough story line or car action to make it a classic but at least we can go along and laugh at the graphics and dodgy tuning parts.
So whos up for it?
Probably go Sunday 22nd June or possibly the weekend after.
DATE HAS NOW CHANGED TO SATURDAY 21ST JUNE
JB
I take it Bluewater is some southern shandy drinking place? :p :D
How about we try and do a northern one too in Leeds maybe?
If my car is ready I'll go

See - that's what happens when you get a Skyline, you get used to vaguely hinting at what you want to happen and let it all sort itself out while you go off and make a coffee :D:p:innocent:

I may have to hitch a ride coz I aint turning up in a Nissan Micra if my car aint ready....nice pic of that Supra from the film, I think they copied Leon Green!
I went to a little cinema in Walton on Thames at the last Fast and Furious parked right outside the front doors... people just passed my car by on the way in.....on the way out they were all over it ....saying hey thats a Supra.
So guess the film was educational if nothing else..... though I don't think the film reflected the real people with Supras then (people wearing anoraks he he) only joking....
I have to be honest when I first bought my last Supra there was a trainspotter element to it all...and I think there still is, but it's getting better!!!!
"Its not how you stand by yer car!! ....Its how you race your car!!!"

DATE CHANGE
Looks like its going to be Saturday 21st June now, there will be a Box Hill meet before hand starting at 2pm, and then head off to BlueW at about 5pm for an early evening showing.
This is all of course assuming it does come out on that date, Im still relying on the Odeon web site telling me thats when its coming out....

Look, I've made it quite clear, if 'I'm not worthy', just say so. Just because I'm in the GTROC don't mean I can't go pictures where I want :p .

Any idea on film start times around 6pm? Theres a box hill meet first so somewhere near 6pm would be good. I was trying to get through to the Cinema owners but they wont return my calls, so getting people to book themselves online seems to be the way to go....just need to know the start time if they have it.

Bugger, the cinema owners wont rent out a screen on a saturday or do discount block bookings. Looks like the only way forward is for everybody to book their tickets via the booking line. I have asked them to let me know once they have decided on the start times, then its a free-for-all unless Keiths mate can do us a special again...

I'd love to goto this but wont have my supe by then!
yes, boxhill and bluewater are both on. Im still trying to get the start times from the cinema, once I know them its a free-for-all on the tickets.
JB
Who has booked thier tickets in advance already??
I dont think anybody has cos they havent announced the start times yet, I keep checking the site but theres still no news.

What did you guys do last time regarding seating? - Should we all start booking tickets for the back of the cinema working forwards?
.........Should we all start booking tickets for the back of the cinema ........
I thought the idea was to actually WATCH the movie ? ?:p
Isn't the missus coming then Matt ? ?:sly:
yep, some time round 6pm will be good.
last time I block booked and paid for a bunch of tickets (through Keiths mate who also sorted the refund), but Im not willing to take that chance this time so its a free for all once the times are announced.
Soon as I see the start time I will post up the phone number and time to book, I think most cinemas work on a free range basis on seating now so you just sit wherever you want, but I could be wrong on this...
JB
I'm next to Steve W then as I bet he has all the food ;)

5's better for me too, but I'm not too fussed...
Is there still a meeting at box hill before the film
If so I will come from box hill as it will be a lot closer for me
5pm would be best
I think we better get booking or no rice for us...
Is everyone agreed on 5pm then?
no time for general concensus (democracy for all, just not under my rule :) ), lets go for 5pm as then it gives people the evening to hit Sarfend or whatnot.
So the time is 5pm, Saturday 21st. Phone number for advanced bookings (and advanced booking will be essential) is
Advance Booking No. 0870 242 7070
Booking fee: 50p per ticket National rates apply
24hr Programme Information Line 0870 162 8900
Gallery Ticket Booking No. 0870 240 4800
Visa/Mastercard/Switch
so get booking now.
Sounds like a plan Mr. Branners. Don't want to complicate things, but we aren't going for the Gallery screen are we?
lord knows, I havent booked my ticket yet so not sure what the options are. If anybody phones up this evening then can you check if its allocated seating only.
Gallery is supposed to be plush and luxurious...so stuff that :)

As it's all looking a bit vague regarding meeting times at the moment, can I suggest a meeting at Clacketts for about 1.00 for a convoy to Boxhill? - In other words... Who can I follow! :D
Matt,
#
Your done..
But your a bit faster than me, so perhaps I should follow you.
I have also mailed Showcase the folk who own the Bluewater cinema, to see if they will sell us a block booking for 2Fast2Furious
That way we can all sit togeter and not be in 4 different corners of a dark room.

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, I cannot make the 5pm showing now - but I have booked a group of seats together for me and my mates (7.10 showing).
The lady on the phone said that the automated system allocates seats randomly, so if you all want to sit together, you will need to all book at the same time.
Or if one of you guys books through an operator, then that person will get a reference number for their booking, which when quoted lets the operator know which seats were booked. So if the next person phones and states they want seats next to or near seats booked under that reference number, you should all be able to sit together....
hope that makes sense?!!?!
I can't remember the direct dial off hand. But if you dial 118888 and ask for Showcase cinemas Bluewater - Managers Office... you should be able to get through directly to the 01322 DARTFORD line...
Hope this helps.
Branners, will you be there before 5:00pm, so I can turn up and pay you for this BBS thingy.
Hi Guys,
Well I am booked its £6.80 at the 17.00 show. I am two thirds back roughly in the middle according to the lady.
I explained our interest and she gave me a booking reference of
ref:6343 so quote this if you all want to sit together. Its screen 3
She was very interested to hear about our cars.!! sweet old dear.
There are seats around me at present but she explained it gets busy on a Saturday, but presently we are okay.
So asap is the word. ph no. 0870 2404800
