blitz supra
Evening peeps, Drivers side main beam headlight bulb has just decided to die... Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get one from pretty sharpish or is this going to be a rip off toyota dealer moment? Cheers Standard bulbs matey 9005 IS I THINK THE NORMAL LOW BEAM 9006 is high beam Any Halford or car shop Check your connectors though, mine had corroded and had to chop off connector and put on spades
Nic
If you have the J-spec plastic headlights the correct spec bulbs are: Low beam = 9006J High Beam = 9005J However, the 'J' bulbs are different size and fit to the normal 9005/HB3 and 9006/HB4 bulbs and are not sold in the UK AFAIK. If you need new bulbs you will need to fit the following. Low beam = 9005/HB3 (you will need to trim the tabs on the connector to the bulb so they will fit). High Beam = 9005/HB3 (they are a straight fit). This problem only applies to the plastic J-spec headlights. The spec for the UK glass headlights is: Low beam = 9006/HB4 High Beam = 9005/HB3

chilli
Nic has told you all you need to know, I just did mine and I ordered them from power bulbs http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ 9005/HB3 and trim the plastic as required. I trimmed my tabs down so the bulb would push in and turn, just one of the 3 tabs was a bit too fat compared to 9005J, easy job though
