Apexi filter cleaning ????????

i have a blitz sus and i just took it off and washed it with fairy liquid and a sponge - came out like brand new! im sure you can clean it out.. not going to cause any damage.

A slight difference between washing some metal mesh and putting water and detergent all over a material that isn't designed to be washed.

 

You say you are sure you can clean it.... how sure?

 

As far as I know Apexi make *dry* filters contructed using fibres packed under layers of 'fabric' type material - does this cope with being cleaned? Does it cling to the detergent and reduce efficiency? Don't just presume that all filters are like K&N because they look similar ;)
