Cutting carbon fibre?

What would people recommend for clean, accurate cuts in carbon fibre roughly 1.5mm - 2mm thick?

I bought a cheap CF coil pack cover from ebay - 1st one turned up mangled, 2nd one is okay(ish) but doesn't fit at the front as the CF is 'buckled' in. I was going to cut the front bit away so you can see the cam pulleys :)

Is it the Pre-preg/Gelled stuff or the non gelled CF? I bought CF in a roll, non gelled and used a Stanley Knife. There's a member on here who works with CF for a living. Can't remember his user name but he worked on the new world record holding fastest Diesel vehicle, powered by twin JCB engines. Do a search and PM him :)
