Guest mk47 Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 number 1) sometimes my car wont go over 6k revs when in neutral, only noticed this today but when driving in gear its fine. any ideas why? number 2) had goodridge lines fitted a while back along with new pads, but the pedal is not as stiff any more it goes down quite a bit, except iv checked the lines and they seem to be fine? any ideas as to what causing this? also checked the brake fluid which is also fine. Sorry i dont 'want' to go over 6k revs in neutral just a few days ago though i realised when i revved it it didnt go over that, and tried it again today and the same thing. also any solution to the brakes? Sounds like the brake master cylinder mate not a cheap item to replace sadly. £215+VAT from Mr. T for OEM, I believe you can get other after markets if you are lucky... When i first had the lines and pads fitted the pedal was solid and wouldnt go down more than probably 1cm or slightly more, and then you may not remember but the guy routed em wrong, and one of the brake lines burst while i was driving very dangerous! he then replaced it and the pedal was slightly lower and over time its getting lower and lower. i think i need to find someone with one of those pump things to replace the brake fluid that normally leaves no bubbles right?
