Sheefa
Ooops, but I'm still gonna ask, what the hells the difference? Is there a normal rad and an A/C one?
D8MOA
the engine rad cools the engine coolant where as the A/C rad cools the gas for the a/c the a/c rad is in front of the engine rad
dangerous brain
And to make it more complicated theres even an auto box fluid cooler if you have one of those
MKIVDreamer
I have a rad from a manual TT if its any use? You'd need a seperate transmission fluid cooler for it though...

Would it straight swap for the one in my TT auto? Im loosing my mind!!!!!
MKIVDreamer
no - not a straight swap, the auto rad has a built in transmission fluid cooler in the base of the unit, the manual rad doesn't. You would need to get an after-market cooling unit such as the fluidyne like this one here. FYI: I recently got a new auto rad through Steve Manley (Oxford Toyota) for ~£300 including 10l of Toyota coolant.
jakewebster
Hmmm I might try toyota themselves then. Nobody have an auto rad in scotlandshire?? All i need is a rad now to get her on the road! Cheers
