I'd like a vote please people. Do i break this car up and sell the goodies off in bits, or do i sell it as a repairable salvage car. A monster one at that.

I think i would want the opinion of a body shop to ascertain whether it was safe to put back on the road.

Its safe to repair, but a very intense job to be honest. With a spec like that it needs to be done properly.

Do you know of a bodyhsop that is capable of doing the work? What is your guesstimate to repair?

As a car enthusiast sell the engine as a whole and break the rest.

The engine is worth an absolute fortune, the rest of the car is the same as any old salvage Supra.

From a breakers point of view maybe its not the most economical approach though!

Break it im afraid. Although its always nice to see something reserected, especially the more grand cars, imho they never drive exactly the same, and whoever bought it would always have a niggle in the back of their mind. I know I would.

The difficult part is finding a good shell. And lets be honest, if that engione was going into a car, you would not want a stock body eh? So the bodywork would have to be done too.

I wouldn't want a rebuilt one either! It's not the body work that worries me, it's the chassis. It may well have a slight twist or kink in the rear now, just a little could throw it all off - especially if highly tuned. Maybe I'm wrong and it's all just a question of finding a really good repair shop.

Ideally you'd have a nice stripped shell you could double seam weld and strenghten etc...is it really necessary on a Supra though?

Why not transplant the engine and all necessary bits into your beast Jezzy. If you do break it though ill take the intake heat shield.

Sell the engine complete,then sell the turbo kit and Ecu seperately along with the fuel system.

It will be a shame to see it broken up. It could easily be repaired by the right person. If you wanna quick buck sell it as salvage but if you wanna earn a few more quid take your time and break her.
