silly question alert !

On Audi's does the badge "quattro" basically mean it has 4 wheel drive or is there more to it than that i.e better engine spec for example the "M" on BMW's has a motor sport engine which is better than there standard engines?

Not that silly.

I believe that they all have 4wd, but have additional extra's. Not too sure what they are though.

Do a search, it was mentioned not too long ago... That thread might have the answer.

Quattro is just the name of Audi's 4wd system, same as 4motion I believe is VW's :)
