My newest acquisition

I picked this up last night and have to say I am hugely impressed. It was an auto TT that was converted to a 5 speed single. I was worried about the conversion as i didnt know what to expect from the gearbox but after driving it back from newton Abbot last night (over 200 miles) I have to say all those worries have been dispelled.

The car drives like a dream but obviously needs a little tweaking with a new set of injectors, an uprated fuel pump and a new EMS. It also needs a good wash and a polish but methinks this is an absolute bargain.

Now, I wonder how long I can keep this for! :D

Damn CJ looks nice.

You dont wanna trade that cream interieur against some recaros? ;)

If the backs were not the same colour I might have been tempted. ;)

TBH, the drivers seat needs a little work as it has been worn by someones fat backside (not mine as i only got it yesterday)! :D

You can have the black back from me too ;)

Would give it a good racing look with the red seats :innocent:

I predict we'll see a few more of these in the coming years. Blown standard turbos replaced with small single setups detuned for the current standard fuelling to cope (like Voos current setup until she carries on).

Good potential as projects.

Was it a TT auto convert - or a 5Spd NA shell converted with a TT engine and singled?

Only reason I ask is there's no airbags, I thought all TTs had airbags?

Jesus CJ another one bites the dust for the rest of us huh! Number 8....or 9 is that? Well done mate looks lovely.

Any ideas about wheels mate? I'm looking for a set of 2nd hand 18's that will clear UK spec brakes.

Also, am interested in undercarraige protector for engine etc as mines completely wrecked if you've got one 'spare'. ;)

TT auto to single and a 5 speed fitted. Not all TT's had airbags. :)
