does anybody know how easy it is to clock a supra?

Iv been to look at one today at a traders, L reg, auto, tt for £6495

Only 38,000 mile.

The outside is a little tatty and the inside needs new seat/retrim with wear on the hand brake but the engine looks like new.

Just wondering if it clould have been clocked when it entered the UK?

Any thoughts?

Is it mechanical or Electronic.

The Electronic ones (LED_) can be done with a laptop and the right lead/software combo.

Mechanical ones can always be 'doctored'

I would have thought a 38K one should have had quite a decent interior, I spose it depends if there were lots and lots of short trips.

The mech ones should have 6 digit displays also, I think my MK1 Capri was the last car that I saw with a 5 digit display.

i remember when i was about 8 my parents were driving to italy with me in the back asking are we there yet every 5 mins !! and they got all excited about the speedo about to reset itself and when it didnt and they just got a one show up they were so dissapointed i laughed so hard im suprised i wasnt left on the side of theroad ! :p
