KaoriFan Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 since i had the Supra, at various times (not each time i drive), i get this kind of 'clunking' sound coming from the passenger door area. best description i can say is it sounds like something plastic moving around . only seems to happen when i brake or accelerate. they have had the door apart, but can't find anything. does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this. soon as you hit the brake you get this 'click' and when you hit the gas pedal same 'click'. its a plasticky sounding thing, doesn't sound metallic. any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, Ian Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Snooze Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 I get a rattle from my driver's side occasionally - finally tracked it down to the handle for tilting the seat forward - the screws sometimes work themselves slightly loose and the handle rattles during acceleration and braking - you could check that...... charlton Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 if it does it when you brake/accelerate it could be something to do with the seat belt system, mine makes clunking noises all the time when it locks the belts. Homer Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 I had a similar issue, it turned out to be a poorly fitted side skirt and screw that was rubbing the underside of the door.
